On Aug 31 2014, we travelled back to Dagat Dagatan in Malabon to deliver 50 Hope Afloat Kits.
Students from a Grade 6 class in Tugatog National High School received the Hope Afloat dry bag, which contains a few essential school supplies such as Pad Paper, Pens, Pencils, Crayons and Extra Notebooks.
In our school, we are taught that “It takes a Village to raise a Child”. Everyone in the community works hand in hand, to make the world a better place. We use our special talents and skills to make a positive difference in society in many other places in the Philippines.
We believe that the Hope Afloat Kits, were made possible through the support of our Village, too. Our families, friends, friends of our parents, teachers, schoolmates and many people we have not yet met from all over the world helped us make this project possible. I suppose that they liked our idea of how to we can help other kids continue going to school even if the place they live in is badly affected by floods each time it rains where they live in.
